Even before being a topographical transcription, bird’s-eye view is in its essence a vision and thus starts from the assumption of an intrinsic blindness, but with an admonition that is implicit in the deepest sense of imagining, as the imagination is affected by the two worlds to which it belongs: imprisonment of the sensible and liberation elsewhere.
The motions of imagination and the idea of flight are united. Ovid’s account bears witness to this: it is within the labyrinth, in the condition of imprisonment, that the legendary architect creates wax wings for himself and his son.
ICARUS is a visionary architectural project merging the ancient myth of Icarus with the creative potential of artificial intelligence. Through light, dynamic forms, the structure evokes flight and the human desire to transcend limitations. Fluid surfaces and complex geometries recall Icarus’ wings—symbols of ambition, fragility, and daring innovation.
This project explores the intersection between technology and imagination, where architecture becomes a medium for storytelling and emotional resonance. The AI-generated imagery offers a unique vision of spaces suspended between reality and fantasy.
